:hi there i have a 1999 2.5 v6 omega est. the only problem i have with it is the drivers heated seat. it dose not work i have checked the fuses and i carnt see a blown one. i have switched the swiches over and that dose nout as well. plz help as i have back troubel and i miss my heated seat . thanks. martin

Hi and welcome.
Unfortunately it's probably the heating element inside the seat that is broken. It seems to be quite a common problem as the car gets older, particularly the driver's seat as that's the one that is most often used (that is, someone sitting in it, doesn't matter if the heater is switched on).
Non-leather interiors are quite cheap from scrappies or people breaking cars so the easiest fix is probably looking for a replacement seat with a working heating element.

Yes, as Paul M says, likely to be one of the heater pads or the thermostat bit in the seat.... ....replacement of the pad, though possible easier to get replacement seat...

I belive the element is easier to replace in the cloth seat than a leather one.

I was under the impression that leather couldn't have the pads replaced, then I found how on TIS...

I'm sure someone can dig it out, I've gone and uninstalled it for some stupid reason that is unknown....
