My father who has a 97 v6 cd last year had lower arms replaced along with both front shockers ,gen vx parts. the dealer at that time could not check geometry due to not having the correct equipment,so we took it to feltham tyres to have it set up.They do have the equipment to do it.They charged over £70 and fitted a new tyre at the same time.It hasnow rubbed out the inside of the new tyre and they are now saying that omegas are a sod to get right as they have very fine tolerances, and they should be checked every 6 months. Is this compleat b***** or are they correct. :o

When I had my last tyres fitted the guy told me that the tolerances on camber were rather wide for the Omega and he advised adjusting it even though it was "in spec".
.. so someone's talking out of their @rse! >:(
I hope they're not advocating a 70 quid alignment every 6 months!
I'd take it to someone with recommendations on here. These places are so variable.

Utter 'dangle berries'.
There is, however, a certain amount of skill required in setting up the geometry - just because the camber is in the green section (hence within spec) does not mean it is correct. My MV6 is set right at one end of the tolerance for overcome the (fairly common) inside shoulder wear.
If you are near Hemel Hempstead, I thoroughly recommend http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk

They gave him this afternoon a print out of the results and as you said quite correctly they are in the toloraces of their equipment. so spot on. But it is not,It is not the fault of the m/c just the pleb using it.

Can you post up the print outs.
The camber is critical in this and needs to be set pretty close to -1deg 20mins....the standard tolerances are much to wide and often do result in inner tyre wear.
