Title: V6 Intake manifolds & FBW Plenum
Post by: Martin_1962 on 08 June 2007, 14:02:01
I want to modify some parts and demodify another so will any V6 inlet manifold work?

Also what about the plenum - what versions are there?

to my knowledge you have the short and extended plenum for the 3.0L engines. All 2.5's will be short plenum and cabled throttle. 2.6 & 3.2's are long plenum - but different to the 3.0's as they have no connection for the EGR valve. I assume the cabled and DBW throttle bodies are interchangeable though?

Martin,

According to EPC:

Intake manifold for 2.5/2.6 is 90469820
Intake manifold for 3.0/3.2 is 90469821

Intake flange for 2.5/2.6 is 90467003
Intake flange for 3.0/3.2 is 90467004

Not sure what the actual differences are though.

SO a 2.5 manifold will fit - plenty available, plenum - 6 small M8 bolts.
