Hello All,
I hope someone can help me.
Had the car about a week now, still finding new toys to play with, everything seems to work except Cruise Control.
The Stalk control is fitted, and seems farily worn through use, but I can't seem to get it to do anything?
I hope I'm not being stupid and it's not fitted - how do I tell if it is? Should anything appear on the MID or Dashboard?
Thanks in advance,
Pete.

I find that to get the Cruise on a TD (BMW) to operate you have to hold the buttons in for about 5 seconds before the system reacts

Nothing to show it is working Im afraid
Only works above 24 mph If I remember correctly
Just press the I button and away it goes, 0 or Brake to cancel, I or R to increase or reduce speed, accelerate normally for a temporary speed increase.

Took it for a drive this afternoon, held the I button down for around 10 seconds, but still nothing.
Anything I should be checking for?
Thanks
Pete.

Ignore that last lot, forgot TD is drive by wire.....looks like it may be tech2 time...

I'm guessing it's not the fuse, as the seats and radio still work

Always enabled on 2.5TD ;)
I wonder if its the wrong stalk - the 2.5TD cruise stalk is different to all others in that it only has 2 wires. Remove top cowling and check...

I had a period when cruise control did not work on a 2.5 CDX, turned out to be stoplamp bulbs. Check for correct bulb type & contact quality, the brake lamp/stoplight circuit is interconnected with the cruise controller.

Checked under the cowling, has two wires, gave the connector a wiggle, then checked brake lights, gave them a wiggle - Now seems to work intermittently.
I'll check everything again and give it all a good clean, will let you know what happens.
Thanks very much chaps.
Pete.
