Ok here is an interesting question for you and possible project.

Could you swop an engine from a pre face lift omega into a face lift omega?

Donor car is a 3.0L 1997 saloon recipent is a 2.5L  2002 saloon.

Both Auto's both V6

Is it achievable how easy and anyone interested in helping!!!

Yes it can be done... and doesn't seem to be too difficult. :)

Best person to advise is Mr McB as he is doing this right now. :)
