Gents, Put my new radiator on last night, vehicle running much cooler already, rad was blocked even though it's got a good flow through it.... £100 for the new Nissens GM400... Anyway, whilst bringing the car upto op temp, I noticed that the front Multi Ram valve thingy wasn't operating at all, at any revs!!! This is the little mechanical valve directly behind the rad on the incution trumpets.... any suggestions please?

Is the rear one working at all?

Hi Mark, Yes, the rear one is normal, pray tell, is there something wrong with the front one??? What can I do to check it, I don't fully understand the Multi Ram system..
Cheers Dave C

Blipping the throttle should activate it. Double check vac integrity and connections (see FAQ section), and one way valve on the vac tank below the multiram

OK, got that, vac integrity all OK no leakes.... back one comes in everytime, really have to blip it hard and to high revs for the front one to kick in, at least it's kicking in! Is this right though?????
Any opinions?

On my car the Rear Multi Ram works at low revs about 1000rpm say, but the front one only moves around 4000rpm... :y

Yeah! I'll go with that, was wondering if the ambient pressure (Black pillow shaped thingy) attached at the bottom left of the trumpets, is causing a problem... had to repair mine when I did my cambelt... I notice that the vac pipe comes off this which feeds the front multi ram..... any theories....?
