hi am new to omega owners forum. i drive a omega 3.0 elite i have converted it to a manual i have changed gearbox pedals clutch and propshaft the car drives ok but sometimes when u are driving slowly and accelerate it seems to stutter. i have also changed ecu for one out of a ex police car to see if this makes any change and it didnt. plugs leads and coil pack are new so i dont know what i have done wrong. just though somebody might know what i have done wrong. also how do u get the computer on the dash to stop saying auto gearbox fault. i have been to local dealers and they just said u cannot convert car to manual and where not very helpfull. sorry for the long story but i need help.

There is a wire which has to be grounded (I think) to tell ecu that the gearbox is OK, without this you get the gearbox warning and I imagine the engine will be in limp mode to protect the (non-existant) faulty autobox.
Marks DTM or The Boy should be able to confirm this later

Ideally, get the ECUs to be told there is no autobox. The engine, the ABS/TC, the MID (hence the warning), and probably some others all need a chat with a Tech2 (if post 97) or Tech1 (if pre 97).
