Got all new breather hoses and gaskets and went to clean the ICV + throttle body jet this AM. I found it very fiddly and hit a couple of problems. After removing the securing circlip on throttle end I just couldn't get the TC cap to prise off the spindle.I've done this many times before with other cars but this one is not for popping and I don't want to twist the linkage.
The two Allan screws securing the ICV to TB had seized and would not loosen.
The lower coolent hose attached to the water heated section of the TB has been fitted with the clip on the underside making it nigh on impossible to gain access to compress the clip for removal.
Can anyone who has done this "simple" job on a facelift 2.0 tell me;
Can the TB be removed and twisted to allow acces to the tiny hole that the breather hose attaches to without removing the throttle cables ( there are two on mine ) and coolent hose ?
Does the fuel line have to be removed .
I've started soaking the seized allan screws in plus gas so the job has been postponed.

i have the older 2 ltr and i had the same problem with my throttle linkage, i removed the 4 nuts holding the throttle body on and lifted the body carefully out the way leaving all pipes and cables attached, then i removed the small part that the small pipe goes to on the throttle body with a 19 mm spanner, it can be very fidly as there are 2 copper washer on this part, then when you put it back together just make sure there is no fuel leaks from the fuel feed pipe
