Just after pottering with my bonnet catch, I caught a glimpse of the rear of my plenum, it's now missing an air hose that was there yesterday - its not even connected to the lower part just below the back of the plenum (grazed knuckles to prove I searched hard for it down the back of engine) I know where it connects etc, but just wondered if it will be safe to drive with it missing so I can go get a replacement?
Damn car is either haunted or has it in for me.... its turning into a little nightmare, it needs to be looked over by someone who knows what they are doing I think.... any offers ;)
Anyway... attached a pic of the missing bit indicated from an archive pic to help you decide.... :

Can't see for that bl00dy big white arrow!! ;D ;D but, seriously, needs to be on mate, or you've got a vac leak, many problems may occur, reduced breaking for one....
As for Hauntings, Yvette Fielding (Iva Feeling) has got 3 Astons, 2 Rangeys and a bl00dy London cab.... There's loads of money to be made from ghosty's....
I think I'll go into that line of work.... I'll call myself Eric Jackanory, I think!!!
;D ;D ;D

That'll be a breather pipe then :question
-
When I put my finger over the valve bit that the pipe connects to - it is sucking, so how the pipe has dissapeared is anybodys guess? These kind of things can only happen to me :'(
-
Has someone shortened the hose they should all fit without been pulled tightly :-?
-
All sorted! New bit of hose re-connected - took it for a good hard drive and all seems fine :D Just got a 'dump valve' style hiss now when i get the revs upto about 4 to 5 thousand and take my foot off the accelerator, obviously sucking in air from somewhere on the over run thas lasts about a second or so, obviously not a normal noise that I would expect, checked all the vacuum and air hoses, all fine as far as I can see and feel, could it be from the downpipe manifold connector cos the damn thing is blowing AGAIN :'(
Also, aparrently there should be a little one way valve on one of the multiram hoses that connect to the reservoir at the bottom of the radiator area - but mine aint got one and never has had one by the looks of it - is it normal :o
Apollogies for keep dragging this subject up, but I want my car to run as it should without forking out at the main stealers.
