Title: Blocked Breathers??
Post by: Tafty on 27 June 2007, 20:13:30
Have been having a close look at potential jobs needing to be done before our lonnnnggg drive to Spain in 4 weeks and am becoming a wee bit concerned these two patches and whether there is a potential leak. Have cleaned it up the other day but has come back, don't seem to be losing any oil, can't see any drips - the wife would go spare if it was - only just had the drive re-done - just the two dark patches on the left side of the engine only - oil? petrol? don't know - need advice though. All comments very much appreciated - within reason ;)

Have done that earlier tonight after I took the pics - all appears good from that angle.

Have convinced the missus that am going to be missing under the bonnet for a few days - to make sure everything is AOK. So Camcover gaskets, breathers, spark plugs, filter changes, coolant all going to be done before we go. Am changing the front near side wheel bearing tomorrow as I don't think it'll last the trip - noticed it was a bit gritty when I changed the brake discs this week so would rather be better safe than sorry.

I never thought I'd say it but I've turned into my Dad wrt having my mistress sitting on the drive and needing lost of attention. Don't like to see her with problems. The missus is a grown woman and can sort her problems out herself :D

Cheers. :y
