Fine for me!

Going like a snail to me, and I'm on broadband.
Only this site, others are OK.

I'm at work going through whatever servers they use & it's AOK.
-
For once, I'm at work (and hence not on a nice gigabit connection to it), and its working as expected for me - 512k BT broadband line...
-
Its OK on my work PC at the moment - seems to be running normally.
-
All OK here too

I just can't stand this anymore, Jamie, where are you?
I've just got to log off and chill out.
-
At home now & still OK, has been all day !
-
AA, what ISP are you using? What OS as well...?
-
AA, can you post a traceroute here (please, only AA to do this)?
(Get up command prompt, type tracert www.omegaowners.com)
-
The Redhat server hosting it is running well, queue length less than 1 for all 3 times (for those familiar with Unix systems), and enough free memory to keep running.
The host W2k3 server is running well, using more memory (2.3Gb) than physical RAM (2Gb), but not paging too heavily.
The internet bandwidth reported by router is 29% on upload (ie, bandwidth used by people browsing, and other stuff).
All looks good here...

Have you used the BT MTU adjustment tool?
What's that?
Why is it only this web site appears slow?
-
hang on, I'll see if I can adjust MTU at this end...
-
Due to an access problem, I need to reboot the server, which it will do tonight anyway. I shall check again tomorrow...

I used to get probs with NTL broadband.....changed to Tiscali ADSL and no probs :)
Omegaowners.com has been fine all eve for me [smiley=thumbsup.gif]
-
Thursday am and still way slow (I am also with ntl broadband and again, no other site I've visited appears to have problems).
-
NTL :-/
We supply kit to them and have been to the Nottingham setup a few times........nuff said.
Its what happens when you gat accountants running telecoms companies, its a case of throw the smallest amount of kit in and wire it up.....no planning and then wonder what to do next when it goes wrong!
-
Almost back to normal, but not quite.
