Are you sure it is the leads??has the car raised any eml lights??? if so would be worth doing the "paper clip" test to read them..have just had similar issues with mine and it was the throttle position sensor, but in view of the cost of ht leads and the issues with their replacement ,would make sure that is the cause

more than a strong possibilty its either or a combination of all....

spark plugs
leads
dis pack.

Basics first.

Take the leads off at plug side and check for oil in wells, check for oil around rocker covers, and inspect the leads that you can get easy access too....

After that come back and let us know what you find.

this may sound silly but how do you do the paper clip test and there is no oil or gunk around plugs

okay...paperclip test s a method of using a paper clip to short inthe fuse box to provide fault codes...i`ll post the link to it shortly.

Oil in plug wells is never good - do you know when the camcovers were last done?

Does it idle okay  - nice and steady?

Go to DIS behind cylinder 6. Tight, and probably needs to be done by feel.
