Title: Well Done Tunnie
Post by: TheBoy on 22 September 2007, 21:45:04
And, for once, I am not talking about the new Miss Tunnie...

Tunnie has managed to successfully change the oil cooler on his Elite project all by himself - I've been too busy with other stuff to assist.

Well done :y - I bet 15 months ago you would never have though you would be able to do that :D

I think he could - its only taken a couple of weeks due to not be organised/experienced enough to have all the bits or having the wrong bits...

cheers guys

Yep it runs, after it leaking water, then oil, put it all back together today within about 2 hours. Released the oil cooler pipes at the oil filter end and in the engine, got it all fitted down and torqued well.

Quite please its running well now after it pi$$ed oil over the place last time. Someone forgot to fit washers on the oil cooler pipes  ::)

But I am running out of time, due to other commitments (not new SWMBO) things are not looking good for the project car  :(

It was in no way a back handed compliment, it was a true compliment.  It was silly little things like missing washers etc that stopped Tunnie for a week each time - due to his commuting, he cannot get to dealers in week.

...and it took me a week to do a cambelt, largely because I'm thick.  ;)
