A friend of mine got one of these thingy's a while ago, he got it from ebay too...
He has it on his vectra, he has done 2k miles since, and has noticed no difference.

I very much doubt it, but who knows!
Magnets can do strange things to fluids
I pump my pond water through a large magnet, stops blanketweed growing, (nasty stringy green stuff) and it works well.
They are also used to reduce limescale, the above was a nicely discovered side effect!, Lots af varients for sale for these jobs.
Really cant see how it will make fuel burn better though.

If it did anything beneficial whatsoever, would not all manufacturers have been fitting them as standard for years?

there are thousands and thousands been tested only a hand full have had any affect and as said above they would be fitted as standard i personally wouldnt bother with the products like this

to flog this in the 70's and 80's ::)
I think that the slogan then (rather than 'Green' as it is now), was
'Save It !'
Anyone with something to sell stuck the 'Save It!' stamp on their advert.
I remember one advert where they were selling little clocks to stick on top
of your gear lever. The idea being that you timed yourself on different
routes to work every day and thus found the shortest one which would
burn the least amount of fuel. ;D
I kid you not. ::)

There are dozens of gimicks out there..and magnets on fuel lines is one of them, so are 'ecotec' valves, the majority of fuel additives (it's cheaper just buying more petrol), resistor 'chips', venturi vortex widgets...
Nothing works!! - If it did we'd ALL be using them!

I have been given one from someone we all know to evaluate. I now have a base mpg, so need to get off my backside, fit it, and see what happens. I've heard it may slowly increase mpg, so may need to do a few miles...
