Hi Guys,
Does anyone know the correct tyre sizes when fitting the 8 x 18 (front) and 9 x 18 (rear)? From what I remember they run different widths?
Thanks

Thanks for looking, I'm almost certain when using the proper Sport Stars for the Omega with 9 x 18 on the rear the tyres are 265/35 :o
I managed to find this, which lists different size tyres front/rear

My one has 18" wheels, and I have 235/40 R18 at the front and at the back as well. It is also possible to use 265/35 R18 at the back if the wheel itself is wide enough. These sizes apply for Omegas with original tyre size 205/65 R15 or 225/55 R16.

Dont suppose you have a pic of your car? I'm trying to gauge what they would look like. They currently have 245/45 R18 but I think thats a bit wide for the front?
Thanks

PM Sent. :y
For anyone else...
With regard to the split size SportStar's i.e. wider rims on the rear...
The doc that came with my wheels gave details of all the sizes you could run with, but the recommended tyres and sizes from irmscher were...
Continental SportContact2 235/40 x 18 front & 265/35 x 18 rear.
I run them between 32 & 34 psi, depending on the weight i'm lugging.
The Conti's are bloomin' expensive, but what i will say is that they do look good. 8-)

I think the 245/45 R18 has far to big diameter! I will try to get a pic for you. :y

Thanks for the PM Kev. I've just bought a set but they have 4 x 245/45 R18 fitted. 2 Need replacing and 2 will need replacing soon. I knew I read somewhere they run different sizes front to rear. Reading the TUV document for them it does list the option of using the same front to rear aswell. I tried them on last night to check the clearence as I've lowered it.

I've only ever had the 265/35 x 18 - 235/40 x 18 combination on my car, that's what irmscher said they should be, so i can't really comment on the other sizes.
What i will say though is that the tyre walls do look a wee bit too big for my liking.
Also worth considering how much your speedo will be out by using an incorrect size combination.
As requested, some pics of my own car.
She's wearing the recommended 265/35 x 18 to the rear & 235/45 x 18 on the front.

As i said, the Conti's are expensive, but they do look good, and the performance is equally as impressive. :y

Pesumably CAMBER is an issue? I notice on KEV's piccy's that the camber looks almost POSITIVE, unless it's the wide lens abberation or it's parked in a ditch, however the rear wheels look neg cambered as they should...
Anyone????
