-
Around town 18 - 20 :(, On a good run with wife and kids in the car 26 :y
-
Knocking about I get about 23.7mpg, had a run out to Llandudno and did 29.8 mpg.... Pretty good I think for a big car with all its luxury :y
-
:o 29 mpg on a run :o thats just a little less then my astra atm :o
-
21 to 22 around town 32 on a run (with cruise on 33).
-
:o 29 mpg on a run :o thats just a little less then my astra atm :o
In which case you are in for a pleasent suprise :y
-
average 24 - 25 day to day. very low 30s on a run. Sub 20 thrashing around town.
-
:o 29 mpg on a run :o thats just a little less then my astra atm :o
I'm assuming you are ragging the Astra then? If you rag a 3.0l everywhere, expect sub 20.

thats NOT ragging it, thats driving round like a grandad with my flat cap on :'( thats why i'v been looking at omegas as there far more comfy and do about the same MPG by the sounds of it

If mpg important, the 2.5/2.6 manual are an excellent compromise.

i want best of both worlds, as i am found of track 8-)

You'll be wanting a manual then, both for the economy and track use. Mine averages about 24-25, driven hard where appropriate, but it sees its fair share of boring motorway journeys too (not commuting so very little stop/start stuff). Oh and the dual-fuel means that cost wise, it's equivalent to about 60 MPG on petrol 8-)
I bought mine with the LPG kit already fitted -- this route is highly recommended if you can find one that suits (which can take a while, good ones aren't that common especially manual MV6s) as it only adds a few hundred quid onto the resale value, rather than the £1800 or so you'll pay for a good quality sequential injection installation.
-
Mines normally stuck about 18 when I'm driving on gas, as I've got a problem with the ignition system at the moment, i.e blown the rubber inlet hoses to bits again :(
I've driven 200 miles :o :o :'( on petrol, been paying a lot of attention to the average consumption readout and got it upto 22.6 driving grandad style :(
-
Worst i've had is about 15.6. Short burst to & from work. bes would say was about 25ish on a motorway run & parts of that were stop start.
Have since changed leads, plugs DIS due to faults. Has improved. est methd is to slacken off throttle cale a bit to prevent opening it too much with heavy right foot :y
-
I'm getting 22.5ish all round & about 31 on a run.......
-
low 20s day to day, and up to 35 on a long run depending on how heavy your foot is :)
can go as low as 9mpg when thrashing though :y
-
The MV6 has not been right for too long to be accuate, but generally low 20's around town, mid 30s depending on the run
been losing coolant, had oily plugs, and an airleak, so with a bit of luck, they are about to increase a little :)
