Title: Exhaust noise?????

I think on my 2.5 Elite that i have a drivers side manifold blow. The strange thing is that when its at idle you can't hear it, if you rev the engine up slowly, you can't hear it, but if you blip the throttle it sounds like a rear bank manifold blow every time.

So the question is, is it a manifold blow or something else?????

Without removing the manifold i can't pinpoint a blow, can't feel it(no access) and i can't see any localised sooting....

Any ideas?????

First thing to do is:

1) Check the EGR valve and connecting pipe for leaks

2) Check the front pipe heat shilds, if loose, put a nice big stainless steel jubilee clip around the bottom of them to stop them rattling.

I have felt all around the EGR valve, unable to feel a leak. Is there any magic potion to help trace, like what carb cleaner does to find airleaks????????
Preferably something non-flameable ::)
