Title: starting problem

hi i have a2.5 cdx 1998 auto the problem is it starts when it wants to it can be alright for days then i will take it out and park up come back to it and it will just turn over then it will start up when it feels like it any ideas thanks.

Paperclip it. If you get a 19, replace cranksensor

i have had no lights on at all some one said it could be a lambar sencer playing up is that possible.

Nope, they were talking b*****x

(system is open loop at startup, lamdas not used until close loop)

mine done the same about a year ago it was the crank sensor

19 is a dead cert cranksensor failure. Change it immediately before it conks out on motorway (and it will, eventually ;)   :-[)
