Title: Which Tyres?
Post by: Sonic_Boom on 13 August 2007, 15:40:22
I just bought these alloys:

What tyre size should I fit? Should I have wider ones on the rear?
Someone said 235/45/17 would be the best but i'm not really sure.
Cheers Rich

They look like the facelift 17s to me, so that would be 235/45ZR17.

Strangely, that particular size has a different setting on the instrument cluster and on the MID.

Yes they're 17" elite facelift alloys and TB gives the correct tyre size

are they the ones that were on ebay?

Do I need to change the settings? And if so how?

No idea if you need to - I guess its down to rolling diameter...

If you do need to, MID is Tech2, instrument is Tech2 after 98.

In laymans terms, theres nought you can do on an M reg, so don't worry about it. Just be aware that presumably speedo and fuel computer may be inaccurate

they set the car off nicely  :y, I have seen the later Elite wheels on many other vauxhalls with 5 stud fitting and they always look the part.
