My new camcorder just arived. WOW!!!! and a bit more WOW! What a great little bit of kit this is. Just had the quickest of plays with it, but will have a closer look tonight. Worth every penny of what I paid, especialy with all the extras.

For those that missed, it is the JVC Everio GZ-MG505EK. Stunning little camcorder with 3CCD, SD slot, USB2 and 30GB hard drive. Really gobsmacked by how good this is.

If I sound too peed off I will try to cheer up later! ;D

Did it not come with a tripod aswell then ::).............................sounds good Fin :y

Sounds good, now make sure you use it, my current camera is so used it is starting to break :( but it has had a hard life.

I reckon another year then a HDV camera

You have got to get one of these!!!!! This is such a great camcorder. 300x zoom, hard disk recording. instant locating of scenes. Stunning picture quality and outstanding value. OK, the guy meant to relist it at £539 but accidentally put £359! He honoured the deal and I got bargain of the year!

Nearly bought a Nikon digital SLR, but someone beat me to it. :( I'll find the right one. Must be 10 megapix or higher and must be true SLR.

I need a new PC to edit HD anyway
