Hi guy's. I'm new here, and i foun your site while surfin.. I own A Opel Omega 2.0 16V X20XEV, which i bought in 1996 here in greece.
Anyway... here i am with a felling of mass lack of power and tre rev's ticking up and down having a tension to stall. This especially happens when the car spins abit even more often. Any ideas of what to do??? I chaneged my air-flow and all sensors ect.
Also, there seemes to be a proplem with the abs system. the opel dealer told me that the problem is at the abs realy's.... any ideas of what to do??
Thaks. Donald. ::)

Welcome to the forum Donald. :y :y What sensors have you changed and have you cleaned the ICV :question

HI Donald,
You almost certainly need to clean the breather hoses (3 rubber hoses connecting to the cam cover), the idle control valve and the throttle body.
Most important is the small hose which goes from the camcover to just below the throttle body. Clean this (or replace ) AND clean out the metal port that it connects to below the TB. This will likely be hard and you'll need a drill bit to clean it out - easier if you unscrew it.
The erratic idle/stalling is very common on that engine. (Also check that all the vacuum pipes are correctly connected around the TB as a vacuum leak could also cause erratic idle.)
We need more info on the abs problem to help.
Cheers
Ian

well... two of the sensors are at the front part of the engine... i'm not sure what there called in english. There right on top of the belt...
what's the ivc?? I haven't probably changed that...

ICV - Idle control valve
Don't replace it (yet) - just needs removing and a good clean.

It looks like this

you will need to remove the black inlet trunking to get at it.

about the abs i've checked the abs sensors but they seem to be ok..

One last thing... in your first post you menton sth about tb... what's that???
In general terms i know several things abous mechanics and ect but i know the terms in greek so thatt's why im asking and most likely not beeing understood...sorry...

TB=Throttle body
Edit: Just realised that it was the full word, not just the abbreviation you didn't understand. TB is between inlet manifold and air inlet pipe. Seen in this picture:

The outlined area is where the ICV connects to the TB (ICV removed).

In the following picture, remove the clip and small rubber hose
that is marked with the Red arrow.
Start the engine.
Feel if there is a suction on this pipe by placing your thumb on and
off it.
If you cant, then its blocked. Follow the pipe down to where it
enters the Inlet duct.
Remove the Jet it attaches to and unblock it.

This next picture shows the Idle Air Control Valve.
Remove it and soak it overnight in either Carb Cleaner or fuel in order
to clean it.

Whilst this is soaking remove and clean the 2 Black Breather pipes coming out
of your Cam Cover as shown in this Picture.
