Title: removing my turbo charger
Post by: Ashtoo on 22 August 2007, 20:39:01
I've got a 2.2ltr 51 reg cdt omega estate (love this car but it's giving me a headache)
Turbo seems to have gone on it so I was sending it off to a company to have it remanufactured.
so far I have the turbo seperated from the exhaust and inlet but there are three bolts holding it onto the exhaust manifold that I cant get to. Had the bright idea to remove the exhaust manifold and have managed to remove the nuts from the top of the manifold but the bottom ones are proving.....problematic.
so does any one have any advice on the best way forward. I really want to sort this without taking it to the garage, my last garage bill was 2k for a replacement engine spending much more on this car starts to feel like throwing good money after bad Heeeeeeeelp

Great car, we have one. Unfortunately not able to help with your problem but sure there will be someone along shortly.

Chin up mate, it's still worth spending some money on and will probably last for many many more years to come  :y

'The Boy' on here is quite an 'expert' on dodgy diesels now  ;D (though perhaps not the 2.2DTi)
