You dont need a sick note for the first week, you can self-certify.

I know, but it just makes it seem so much more formal and genuine (even though it is!)

The Doc will probably charge you if you ask for one to cover the first week. But, if you feel more comfortable with that, just tell him your boss is a right old fashioned git and prefers a sick note.

Is there such a thing as "a week off to work on Omega's" note? ;D

(Joking, by the way!)

Do you mind me asking .. what's the difference between the one you bought at £50 and the one on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/vauxhall-vectra-omega-cavalier-calibra-v6-cam-lock-kit_W0QQitemZ170152579385QQihZ007QQcategoryZ10404QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

presently at £21, though it will probably go up ...

look identical to me .....but I know nothing ...  :)

That's a SP one, so good quality. I bet it will end a lot higher than 21 quid.

I believe the previous one James had was a laser one. These are nowhere near as nice in terms of quality. The one James had didn't fit over the water pump properly. I also have a laser one and whilst it does the job it's not great.

If I had found a SP one for 50 quid at the time I bought the laser one I would have snapped it up!

You might like to take a peep at this as well ..  :)

Not a bad piece of kit, Nm and angular head, good positive "click" at the desired torque, only used it twice so far .. but seems ok to me ...  :)
