Hello all,
New to the forum and looking for help with a sensor problem. have 98 2.5 V6 Omega B. Last month one of the drive belts, situated at the front of the engine bay, frayed and appears to have sheered of a sensor located in that area. Am now getting "rough" gear change from the auto box.
Any idea what sensor I need to buy to replace this. Other than that, been a great car to drive for the last year and want to try and keep it in tip top condition.
Any help really appreciated

Howdoo Mark and welcome to the site.
If you get a chance, update your profile with your location and car details etc. Makes it easier for someone localish to you to perhaps pop round to assist if needed and lets folks see what you drive without having to type it in every post.
Sorry, I cannot assist with the actual sensor thats broken but no doubt someone will be along soon to advise what to get.
Remember theres a bits for sale section as well and always a couple of cars being broken so no doubt you should be able to pick up whats required there.

There are a few sensors around that area including the throttle pot (mounted on the throttle body on the end of the plenum, which is the large metal slab on top of the engine), the oil pressure sensor (not likely to cause the symptoms) and the likes of the wiring for the MAF, Air temp sensor, multiram etc.

Perhaps take a photograph and post it up?
