Get stuck in mate, it's a peice of cake
Make sure you depressurise the system first, run it with fuse 18 out.
look away with closed eyes when removing fuel pipes, I had an eyeful of petrol doing this job first time, and it HURT!!
-
you`ll be fine mate - and any questions come back on and ask ;)
-
And when the fuel filter doesn't fix the problem... go and find the blockage in the exhaust [smiley=evil.gif]
-
Just think - you wont be a DIY virgin after you've done this ;D
Fuel filter is a doddle and you'll be well chuffed with yourself after :y
Good luck
-
Only thing which may cause you a little trouble is the pesky gay clips used to clip it to the fuel line...
Needle nose pliers will do the job though :y
-
Not sure how you'd get needle nose pliers in there without clamping or breaking the outer casing on the fuel line
I prefer 2 small flat screwdrivers...
-
if i can do it... :o you`ll be just fine mate.... :y

Thank you one and all,
I feel over the moon, my very first job on the car all done fantastic, did everything by the book, or should
i say by the maintenance guide, easy better than first time sex....................well nearly.
Thanks once again for your encouragement helped me loads.
NOW.....Down to you JAMES, how the break did you know that it was`nt the fuel filter :o :o
went for a liitle spin after a job well done and..............................the same as it rather was before. :'( :'(
What i did this time when it started to cut out, was to keep my foot flat on the floor, so to keep the yellow engine light on. I think its the eml light though not sure please varify
I will now read how to do the paperclip test (unless James knows already what the outcome would be) and post for advice
