Which ones do you guys use, I have used Holts recently and after leaving it for a week or two to harden I flatted and 'T' cut it, well the colour is so far off you could see it in the dark with your eyes closed >:(
To say I'm a little upset would be an understatement, and I thought white would be easy to match.
So come on what do you use.

I pretty much always buy paints from the dealers these days, as I've had bad experiences with Halfords and other 3rd party paints. They're probably all made by the same manufacturer, but in my experience buying from the dealer has a higher chance of being a good match.
No idea on the price for VX paints though.

Always from a dealer - Holts may do a 'Star Silver' etc, but the dealer does 20-30 different variants of Star Silver...
Get paint code, and take a trip to dealer - its going to be much closer....

I had to aerosol paint my previous car whihc was a metallic green colour, tried a small area with aome halfords paints that were supposedly the correct colour and I may as well have painted it bright red as the match was an absolute mile off.
I then went to a small vehicle repair / respary place that will mix any colour for you. Gave them the code from the car and there were 5 different shades of this particular green, I was given a swatch with the different shades and once it was matched I had a 400ml aerosol made up and the match was absolutely spot on.
I paid around £12 per 400ml can.
As already said, steer clear of any ready made up paint you can buy off the shelf.
