Title: Done paper clip test
Post by: bumbles5 on 06 September 2007, 19:03:09
ok we did this paper clip test today and the eml light was flashing so many times it was unbelievable 1,3,10,9,6,1, all over the place there was no pattern to it at all. The eml light now we have put new bulbs in for him is on permanently vauxhall suggested the air flow meter so as we had one we changed that and it made no difference he has it in hopefully for a diagnostics test somewhere on saturday. But any ideas from you guys would be appreciated.

Yep we did it following instructions given on here and knew what to look for i.e repeated patterns but it just did not seem to go like that it would only work with the key turned on not with the engine running when the engine was running the light was on permanently. we just kept getting different sequences 10 flashes - 3 flashes-10 flashes-1 flash-3 flashes-11 and so on it was not consistent.

a 10 is a 0...

Depending on age of your 2.0l, you may have 4 digit codes, rather than 2 digit codes on my car...
