Title: autobox upgrade

i see some of the other members have mentioned an upgrade for the auto box, which seems to cure the jerky gear shift. how or where can i get this done, i live in the Kent area. my car is a 2001 Elite 2.6 V6.

The gearbox upgrade is a software 'flash' that needs to be done with a Tech2.

If you can wait until the meet in October you could get it done then. Looks like the meet will be in Herts so not too far from you depending where in Kent you are. Have a look in the 'Meetings' area.

Otherwise, you could try getting a quote from a Vx dealer. You may find that they don't know what you're talking about though.  :(

thanks for info, if i can get to the meet i will try, i do shift work so not always easy. is it another member who does the work. thanks for info.

Yes. 'TheBoy' has two Tech2 machines, greedy eh? He lives in Northants and would also do this for you. If you send him a Personal Message he will arrange it for you. He will charge you a lot less than any dealer as well.
