I have been browsing the wonderful bargains available on e bay motors, it never ceases to amaze me how some sellers come up with excuses why they are selling.............." I bought it for my wife, but it's too big for her"
I bought this range rover to go off roading, but I can't drive a manual"
" I am selling this car on behalf of my Mother,Father, sister, brother, uncle auntie etc etc
"I bought this car to move house with" I'm sure alot of these reasons are valid .but most of the time it's all complete bullsh*t What they really mean is THIS CAR WAS OK, BUT NOW IT HAS DEVELOPED A FAULT THAT IS GOING TO BE REALLY EXPENSIVE TO FIX! there are more cars on e bay with blown head gaskets than the M 25 with a 20 mile tailback on a very hot day in july :-/

But cars listed with faults on ebay are a good thing, for us fellow projecteers...

Yes that is true, but if youre not handy with a spanner ( like most of us here seem to be) you could be on the road to rip off city (just past shaftsbury) :'(

Maybe so... but ultimately, the buyer is always responsible for checking the goods out, before committing to purchase.
One thing I have learned (largely thanks to the sound advice of another member) is - don't buy a car unseen from ebay, unless you know you can at least break even financially by stripping it, in the worst case scenario :)
