Title: Loose hose behind breather and crankcase vent ?
Post by: estaszew on 13 September 2007, 01:45:20
On the 3.0L I found this hose behind the breather not connected to anything.  It goes behind the engine and I cannot see where it leads.  I vaguely remember someone mentioning that it is there for ventilation.  Am I correct, or is it supposed to go somewhere?

Also, does the hose attaching to the carbon canister vent of the breather lead to the larger pipe connection of the crankcase vent housing?  I pulled the hose off of the smaller pipe (which attaches to the post throttle breather of the breather box) and it was perfectly clear.  I was able to do this without removing the vent housing, but the bigger pipe will be more difficult.  I ask because I cannot blow freely through the carbon canister vent hose, so I am guessing something is plugged.

The guide for cleaning the breather system is here as a reference: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152598350

I have cleaned the breathers too...

Thanks for any help,
Evan
