Title: Performance drop and Fault codes on my Facelift...
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 13 September 2007, 11:01:54
Just flashed out my codes...

73 Air Flow Sensor (AFS) Low voltage
74 Air Flow Sensor (AFS) High voltage

Visually everything seems fine, nothing is unplugged. Again, visually, I can see both multirams working if I give it a hard rev.

Symptoms are, poor pickup at low revs.

Any ideas? :)

I take it you have checked for obvious air leaks using Carb cleaner or similar???

Dazzler,

My rams dont work either , what do you mean when you say check for air leaks with carb cleaner?

Will an air leak stop the rams from working?

Just bought a new vac tank thinking it was that and still doesnt work  >:(

They are vaccum operated so thus an airleak will detract from the vaccum.

Was it a brand new vac tank, or 2nd hand.  If later, check its one way valve...

Dazzler and The Boy,

It was a brand new vac tank from vauxhall (£18) , i understand it is all operated by vacuum , but where does the carb cleaner come in?   :-[

carb cleaner doesn't on the vac system - dazzler, i think, is thinking about looking for air leaks on the air feed to engine....   ....I would say the vac system is too small to find leaks using flammable gases  :-/
