Does anyone know how the throttle pedal is actually linked to the engine loom, as the loom is self contained.
Also as far as I can tell the loom's do not differ from the petrol versions.....
Any ideas or comments appreciated :y

been thinking since asked last time....
I reckon all the throttle (and tacho, and gearbox) signals must come in by on of the large plugs by the battery, as the engine loom (with ecu and associated relays) is self contained, but has 2 of these large connectors by battery, where, presumably, it attaches to main loom...

Thats what I thought, just need to try and get a pin out of the plugs now. :y
The investigation continues......

Someone please, put me out of my misery :(
Can't find the wiring diagram anywhere >:(

Opel never produced an electronic wiring diagram for Omega until 2002, but which time the 2.5TD didn't exist, so you may have a job with that one :(

Don't know if you could work out from the Haynes diagrams and the wire colours if you can unpick a little loom?

That's what I was thinking, just the throttle wiring and loom it off separately....
I'm assuming it will prob fire then? Given the loom is self contained.
Do you know if the diesel tank pump is in the same location as the petrol one? If it is maybe I could just use that wiring.
I can't see any difference in the fuse boxes either - thats whats having me think maybe VX just ran the wiring in the petrol loom....

Not sure if fuel pump is ecu controlled or just ignition controlled - again Haynes is the best source for DDE 2.1 management. Tach feed required as well...

Do you still need the wiring diagram? I have a French manual with them - if you give me your email address I'll scan them for you. Sorry for not replying earlier - been away. Ian

TB .. The software you should be recieving soon has the wiring diagrams for 2.0 DTI, 2.2 DTI and 2.5 TD,
Irms ... I will try and do a screen grab if you wish .. give me details of what you need, the program is semi-interactive so you won't get component labels but it might help
Edit .. this any use ?? 2.5 TD
