I've got three hard drives on my PC (don't ask! ::)), and I know I'm having trouble with one of them. There is a slight clicking noise which has started during read/write operations and the PC has slowed up considerably. This is confirmed by looking at the event log which is showing a few warnings and errors. The problem I have is identification. I know the logical drive letters, C, D, E and F, but the event log warnings refer to hard disk 0 and hard disk 1. Is there anyway I can identify these on screen? I'm pretty sure it's my C drive that has trouble and obviously it does have a partition but I don't know whether that partition is logical drive E or F?
Any thoughts?

hi, (assuming you have xp)
my computer (right click)-manage-disk manager
from there you will see the letters and partitions together
ps :good idea to check the disks for bad sectors
+ right click the partion you want -properties-tools -check disk

Thanks, mate. Just tried that and it showed that while Disk C is healthy, it's one of the others that isn't (Says "At risk"). That makes life easier as it should just a copy job rather than a system file swap.. :y

Glad you sorted :)

At Risk means failure is very likely to happen very soon. Copy data whilst you can ;)
