How do roof bars fix onto a facelift saloon?
-
The same way as the pre-facelift saloon.

In particular I've found these at £37 delivered....http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=290083568929&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=019
I've emailed the seller and the unit comes complete with bars and all fixings but I can't work out how they fit. :-/

Couldn't resist that chopsdad ;D ;D
Okay The clamps that slide onto the bar they separate from the main leg. The clamp part of the leg sit's under the cuttering which you gain access with the door open. As you look (when the door is open) you will see two arrows pointing inwards, These are on both sides of the car and at the rear doors as well. Then you marry up the leg which is on the bar and push the bolt through the bolt hole from the inside of the leg through to the clamp. Now fit the washer and the big nut and do up. Do this with the other three legs and bingo! the roof bars are now fitted to the roof. Make sure they are done up tight so they won't fall off.
Hope this helps chopsdad and I have explained it simply for you.

That's perfect Paul....most other bars inc Halfords are upwards of £80 and I need a set to pick up a kayak from North Wales if I win the bid next week - £29.99 seemed too cheap :-X

If its £29.99 thats a bargain!! :y

They Kayak will be £300+ but I've sold the wife's onaments and made £104 on Ebay this week so it's getting cheaper everyday ;) Selling my daughers Blue Saxophone next - should be enough for 2 sets of roof bars. ::)

Where abouts you getting the kayak from?
You will likely drive within 2 miles of my house!

Oswestry or Bangor - choice of 2 now - both passing your way Jimbob - I may just have to drop by for a nice cup of tea :y

Definately!
I expect you would use the M53 / A55 (well you could) to get to either of those, in which case you are minutes from me.
When are you expecting to be passing?

Auction finishes in 5 days so may be next weekend. I'll send you a PM nearer the time :y
You could of course pick it up for me in one of your fleet Omega's and I'll collect it from your house ;)
