Title: Any French Fanciers here?? (Citroen C4 help...)
Post by: PaulW on 28 September 2007, 16:13:06
Just got a call from my friend, she is bloody vague at describing things...

Warning light next to the (P) or (!) whatever (she said in red) its like a screw-top ontop of a square - orange light.  Just came on apparently...  She said she thinks its coolant??  To be fair on these french things you never can tell!

Any ideas??  It is literally just to the left of whatever the red one is (P) or (!) thing...

Tell her to park up, open the glovebox, and take out the manual, once she has read it she will know what to do.

Restate until she understands the handbook will tell her what the lights mean.

tell her to fill a milk bottle with petrol, put a rag in it, stand well back from the car, light the rag and throw it in through one of the windows

that'll make the light go out

She already looked for the manual in the car, but no luck... I'll tell her to look again!  She doesn't even know how to open the bonnet :|

Car is a courtesy car following a lorry kissing her rear in her old motor...  I suppose she could either just drive it till its dead or ring the loan company  ;D ;D

Suggest that to Tunnies SWMBO. It might increase the value of the Skoda.  ;)

I think in the Haynes manual, they omit to tell you to put the rag in the bottle so you are left with a full bottle of petrol and a smouldering rag in your other hand.  ::)
