Title: steering column stalks
Post by: gsxmax1 on 23 September 2007, 21:03:14

can you get at / change the steering columns stalks without removing the steering wheel to undo the two screws behind the wheel that hold the upper and lower parts of the column shroud together?

cheers for any info

Yes, just turn the wheel and you should see a little plastic cover over the screw, pop this off and away you go. You will have to then turn the wheel 180 to get to the other one. HTH.

Yes, steering wheel does not need to come off.

Just turn wheel to access those 2 screws...

Thanks folks for the quick replies.

i'll give it a try

my initial view was that due to the size of the steering centre (with air bag and radio buttons) it would not be as easy/possible as the old cavalier was.

cheers
