Title: Door Internal Plastic Sheets/covers (replacement)

Hello, Can you get replacement plastic sheets from VX dealer to replace the damaged or ripped one on my mv6, today I repaired the door check strap and noticed there was a number on plastic sheet is this a part number:

No, they sell it by the meter (I have some in the garage) and you have to cut it to size.

Duck tape is pretty effective at repairing it.

Its about 5 quid I think, it was a while ago that I got it.

Hi Jim,

The black MV6 looks good... remember you telling us about it at Newent... Luuuuuuuuuuuuvly..

I agree with Mark, Duck Tape...  mines got a bit on one of my front doors, I'm assured it's crucial due to the pressure sensor in the door for side impact activation of the air bags....

Yup, gaffer/duct tape does the job.  And quite correct that it needs replaced because of a pressure sensor in the door for airbag activation.  

Gone are the days of its sole use being to keep the damp inside the door and not onto the inner door card.....

On the Jag X-Type, it is made of moulded foam type material with mastic around the edge to stick it on. LOADS better than thin plastic (if it fits) because it will make the interior quieter.
