Title: 1997 R Pre Facelift - Flashable Gearbox?

Is there any chance that a 1997 R Pre Facelift will have a Flashable Gearbox ECU? Or, is it Hit and Miss? Was 98/99 the definate flashable year?

It was mid 97ish.....the give away is if it has the park lock.

mini facelift onwards...  ...so audio controls on steering wheel, solid headrests, projector headlights etc....
