CAN THE DIS PACK JUST GO DOWN ON ONE LEAD??? HAD A MISFIRE, CHANGED THE LEADS.. STILL THE SAME .. CANT GET A SPARK OUT OF NO1 LEAD...
-
In theory yes, if one of the primaries shorts out o 0V (chassis) then you can loose one leg of the DIS coil.
-
ANY WAY OF CHECKING IT??? OR IS IT JUST A REPLACE JOB???
-
One possible method would be to measure the resistance from the spark plug end of the lead to 0v (chassis), it should be Meg ohms (easy to do coz you dont need to take anything apart!).
Also worth double checking the plug lead resistance.....2K -8K across there length

TRIED AT LEAST THREE DIFFERENT NEW PLUG LEADS MATE, I'LL TRY THE OTHER WAY TOMMOROW, HAD ENOUGH NOW.. ANYONE GOT A WORKING DIS PACK FOR A 98 2.5 ELITE THEY GOT SPARE????
