Am I correct in thinking there is a 10 year anti-rust warranty on the facelift model. If so, my rear wheel arches are starting to go the same way as my pre-facelift.
What's the score with this warranty and has anyone ever made a claim ?
(The Main Steelers probably have some small print stating it only applies to claims made by owners over 89 yrs of age and accompanied by both parents !!).

It's a 6 year anti-corrosion warranty.
But to qualify, it must have had an annual inspection, and the service book stamped.

Curses, I thought there was something like that !! Why they couldn't have addressed the rear wheel arch corrosion issue is baffling. Almost every car I have viewed has rear arch issues.
Ah well, thanks for that.

Hi Guys
With regards to Vauxhall rust warranty, I have claimed twice on this in the past, once was our 1985 Astra (in 1989) and the other was our 1997 Vectra (in 2002). Neither car had particularly full service histories and I found vauxhall vey good at fixing them with no quibbles.
As a second note my 1996 Omega has no rust what so ever in the rear arches or on the outside of the doors, it has a bit of surface rust on the inner side of the drivers side rear door, but I think I have caught in in time. And I have known the history of this car since it was 3 years old.
All the best

They tend not to rust there if you clean that built up of crud away that collects behind the wheel arch, often forgotten.
