Hi all
I've aquired a second hand sensor from a friend it was good when taken out and it is the correct one question is should i clean it at all and if so with what up to just i've just wiped it with a clean rag. Old sensor bringing up an intermittent code 38 which is high voltage O2 sensor i believe.
Thanks Julian.

I believe its advised not to clean them; have a look here;

The only way to clean them is with clean water and an ultrasonic bath (i.e. a jewellery cleaner).......this method even recovers the ones contaminated by a certain supermarket fuel.

I wonder if my brother would allow me to use his cleaner ::)

Hi Guys
Just an update fitted the sensor a couple of days ago eml now staying off problem cured.
The old sensor had a white coating on inspection and from memory i think this is a sign of silicon contamination. So presumably sometime in the last few months i have been supplied dodgy petrol / lpg. Am i correct in this assumption?
Any way thanks for the replies.
Regards Julian.
