What are the performance parts available for the omega mv6 and catera with the 3.0 ecotec engine? So far i have found a Piper Cam+20 hp http://www.pipercams.co.uk/NewPiperWeb/redesign/PiperCamFrames.html
and a performance throttle body http://www.headtune.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=16_43_63&products_id=28
Anything else? I have removed the mufflers/resonators to free up some exhaust flow and have an intake that helps sound but i want more power is there a chip or anything else? what are my options? ;)

That won't work on the Catera accoeding to Mike @ M-Tek:
Hi Elvin,
If the ECU is different to the Omega (which after looking into it, it does
appear to be the case), then we wouldnt be able to offer a chip for your
car unfortunately.

Subject: M-Tek chips for a Cadillac Catera
- Hide quoted text -
I am the owner of a 2001 Cadillac Catera hoping for an answer to this
question. Will the M-Tek chip work in a Catera? I've heard about it on the
Omega Owners Forum but no one has been able to answer this for me. Though
the MV6 and Catera might look very similar they probably don't share the
same ECM. One difference is the Catera's 125 MPH cut-off. There may be
others. I tried the M-Tek site but it seems to be down. Most pages have what
looks like Latin. Interesting but not very helpful. There is no source for
performance firmware for the Catera in the USA. Being that the Omega and
Catera are close cousins maybe you can help. If your product works in the
Catera ECM there is a market waiting here for it.
Thank you,

One longshot as far as a performance chip for the Catera is concerned. Engine Performance Tuning (a Superchips dealer) lists a performance chip for the SAAB V6 (non-turbo) which I believe is the same GM L81 3.0 liter as in the Catera. The ECUs might be the same. Perhaps that chip will serve in the Catera. They claim an extra 12 HP. It'll only cost you a call to find out.
http://www.nycsuperchips.com/main/cars.htm
Their site lists no location (or prices so it won't be cheap) but the FAQ says they service the entire USA. Superchips has been around a long time and has a good reputation. If they can't help you I don't know who can.

Shot them an email I do Know Our chip is different than the Omega MV6 Chip :-/ Catera ECU#0 261 204 663 (Most) MV6 ECU# 0 261 203 272 Or 0 261 203 589 or 0 261 204 589 SAAB I'm Unsure about Saab

Have you thought of getting an Omega loom and ecu? I assume all the sensors will be the same?
-
Thought about that about how much is a used ECU from an MV6? from a wrecked car or something
-
I also Emailed the company elvin suggested and here what i got- oh and I'm unsure what a "flash " is or what to do with the relied info?
Pete, well the Cadillac Catera use M5.2XX and the Saab use Trionic 6/7
they are different, but i can perform the software flash on both.
Please let me know if you interstet, for the rest you can call me or e-mail,i return and be able to respond in the middle of next week.

I would of thought £50-£100 including the transponder chip. It's fully self contained too...
I would estimate in USD $200 delivered and up to $500 for the chip (remap)
