Title: All of a sudden, it won't start.
Post by: Paulus on 08 October 2007, 15:33:17
At the weekend, I replaced my driver seat on my Elite. I tested it by starting the engine and letting it run for a couple of mins until I felt the heat.

Anyway, five mins later, I tried to start the car to turn it around on my drive, and it wouldn't start. I have had the battery die from lack of use about a month ago (I am currently slowly fixing bits for its MOT) so I charged it up - could this have something to do with it???

As I say, I am confused because it started no problem 5 mins before...

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I can't go and try to fix it now because I have stipped the front of the engine off ready to do the Cam Belt...but that's another story you will see soon.

It's always worth a look to see where it is when you're shorting across the starter (Senator/Carlton owners have been there  ;D) cos it's a bugger to hold back a car that's started in D! You can't reach inside the car to stop the engine and keep your foot wedged infront of the wheel at the same time! ::)  ::)  ::)
