I've noticed that my omega has started to stutter a bit at low revs. It only seems to do it when i'm in a high gear but moving slowly and I give it a little more gas to try and accelerate.
There is a slight hesitation and the car stutters like it's missing for a few seconds but once my speed has increased or i drop into a lower gear it stops.
It's not a major problem but i'd like to know what it is, i'm thinking maybe it's the plug leads starting to break down as I had leaky rocker covers a while back but never bothered replacing the leads. What else would be worth looking at?

I'm no expert but my first 'educated' guess would be HT leads. Do you know how old or many miles they have coverd?
I don't think the oil leak would have done them any good either...

Hey I am having a similar problem. I was having a bad oil leak that was coming from where the oil cooler used to be connected in my omega. After I fixed that my car would run fine for the first 5 miles or so and then really start to stutter bad, (sounds like some ancient pos) through out the rpm range, the emi light comes on and blinks at me, also i noticed my lights seem to brighten with the same rate as the stutter. my lead plugs are drenched in oil curently and I suspect some water might have gotten in some where as well. since no leads in the us will cost me well over 100 usd, and my plugs have rescently been replaced, im going to attempt to clean the leads and plugs... ill keep you updated
