right had to strip my mv6 engine to remove pass side cylinder head ! due to spark plug failing and damageing two valves ! had head repaired and i refitted it yesterday come to refit cambelt and the marks had worn away so went to vauxhall and bought a new belt this morning come to fit and line up on bttm pullry and line up cams 1 and 2 ok but the marks for 3 and 4 are a mile out !! have i got the wrong cam belt ?? or am i missing something daft ?? cheers mark

Did you only do the one head? I always do them both if I'm stripipng to that extent.
Did you get a kit, or just a belt?

only did the one head bud only low milage ! just got a belt kit was only fitted 10000 miles ago ! just tried a different belt a conti i bought ages ago that lined up ok but after turning the engine it would time up on cams "!!

Start from scratch, lock cams, lock crank at TDC, and fit.
Are you using a setting kit?

yes mate got sp kit had to start from stratch because i didnt lock it when i stripped it ! doh !!

sorted fitting of cam belt got other issues now will start new thread :'(
