Yes mate, exactly that.
Mine was blowing cold out of the front driver side, I also had hot blowing out the rear, no matter what the temp was.
Try the servo sycronise first, if no joy check the passenger side footwell servo and link arm.
Sitting in the car, passenger side, the servo is on the right hand side of the centre console.
1) you will see a black cap, this pull off and the servo is behind that.
2) using a torch, point it at the small silver motor, behind the motor you will see a black link arm.
3) this bit is awkward, put your hand up and get hold of the link arm, if you can move it up or down, then the arm has become detached from the motor.
4) if detached, remove the electrical plug, remove the 3 screws holding the motor in place.
5) remove the motor and re-attach the link arm, again this can be awkward.
6) refit the motor and electrical plug
7) try the air con again, set to high, then to low a few times
8) Put your hand back under and see if the link arm can be moved, if not then it should be ok, if it can be moved then it has come off again.
Mine kept coming off, ended up having a new motor fitted as the small balls that the link arm attaches to had worn.
If you cannot see the motor etc, give me a pm and I will send some pictures to you.

Wow! Glad I found this thread! The problems described seem identical to what's occurring on mine. Thanks for the suggestions - I too will give 'em a try. 8-)
