EGR Voltage low
-
do you know if part needs replacing if so what car runs ok when warm slight missfire when cold
-
Check around the EGR (the bit just to left of plenum) for signs of soot. If you see soot, its leaking, but you can just blank it off...
-
thanks will check is there a how 2 anywhere about blanking off egr just bought car was very cheap just needs bit of tidying up
-
No how2, but simply unbolt top of egr valve, cut up an old coke tin to fit, then bolt back down....
-
checked egr looked very clean no soot anything else to look at someone said maybe inlet manifold solanoid
-
Soot wont give a tell tail indication for this.....its down to the valve stiking and the ECU getting in-correct position information.
Take the valve off (two torx bolts) and clean it out well (paint stripper is best).
Also check the wiring loom for damage.
