Anybody know how to change the language when on www.ebay.de (german)

yes, change the end of the web address to .co.uk :y

actually, get the ebay item number off the german page, and enter it into the search on the english page and see what happens

Doesnt work , and there isnt .de at the end of the address.

I just searched a random item on ebay.de and copied its item number, then went on .co.uk and entered the item number in and it said "This translation is provided as a service. eBay cannot guarantee its accuracy"

thats for damn sure, the description was all still completely german!!
