Title: Car won't start - please help!!!

Hi,  I previously posted about auxilliary belt that I have just replaced. The car was running but when I put it all back together it no longer starts, just back fires and stops straight away. There is a very strong smell of petrol. It will go if I rev it, but stops when I stop revving it!
Could i have knocked something when I put the multirams back?? Any ideas anyone please???  I desperately need my car back on the road asap. Thanks.

Have you left the electrical plug off of the MAF??

Have you reconnected everything that you disturbed correctly. Did you unplug the icv or the cam sensor and have you reconnected all the vac pipes,  what about the front multi ram and mass air flow meter.     check everything again and keep us informed to what you find. :y

Thanks for the replies so far.
I think everything is in its place, however I could have missed something. Will not be able to look at it until Saturday now because of work etc

hi, i unplugged lots of cables and put them back and now it works perfectly again. must have been a loose plug.thanks for the help.

Good to hear fella well done, plugs and wiring looms can some times look as if they are ok but cause all kinda prob. :y
