Title: What tyre size do I need??
Post by: PaulW on 20 November 2007, 17:28:19
2.5i V6 Elite (98), standard alloys...

Currently there 205/55 R16, but reading a few posts on here, they don't sound right??  Found 1 post referencing a 2.5 CDX with 225/55 R16...

Need to replace all corners, so want to make sure I get it right incase the ones on it are wrong.

225/55/16V is the standard 16 inch tyre size.....205 is a bit narrow!

Any recommendations on what to fit??  Rather have plenty of grip than slide about on cheap crud...

Michelins good grip and wear well but pricey, Dunlop SP9000's v. good grip but poor wear. Goodyear Eagle F1's are well received by most.

225/55/16 tyres will see you motor ride much better and grip better anyway! I wouldn't buy cheap tyres, false economy. Lots reported problems with Pirelli's.

It's only money  :y

I've always got on well with Conti's.  Have got Falkens at the moment which are fine.
